The Chichu Art Museum (地中美術館, Chichū Bijutsukan) is a unique modern art museum built into a hillside overlooking the southern coast of Naoshima. The museum invites us to rethink our relationship with nature, a central theme in the ideological landscape of Naoshima. The Chichu Art Museum is roughly 2 kilometers from Miyanoura Port, Honmura (where the Art House project is located), or Tsutsuji-so bus stop, with other museums and art installations between the latter and the Chichu Art Museum.
