I Vitelloni is, according to Bazin, a film that has a “profound originality” — that doesn’t mean much, since Bazin uses the term to a lot of films he chooses to write on.
I like I Vitelloni, but some people find it overwhelmingly emotional and I don't.

Maybe for it to have a big emotional impact we need to get involved with the characters more than I do: the film is amused by its five layabout characters and I presume the viewer is supposed to see their weaknesses while also liking them, at least enough to become emotionally involved.
But I don't. I Vitelloni is a 1953 film directed by Federico Fellini..
Reviews: I Vitelloni.
I Vitelloni captures the bittersweet aimlessness of fast-fading youth in a way that makes it seem both nostalgic and frightening. This is, after all, the English Wikipedia and foreign-language titles which are accepted into English usage, follow English-language orthography, not the orthography of their native tongue. I Vitelloni is quiet, assured, and bursting with atmosphere.
